Happy Halloweeeeeen!

Hello lovelies and a Happy Halloween to you all!

This is my Polish Party mani for this month because the theme couldn't be anything other than Halloween, could it! I couldn't pick a single theme for this one so just did a skittle-it was lots of fun.

Base colours: W7-Black, Moyra-#63, China Glaze-But Of Corpse and Stop That Train! (both from my Coloristiq box) and Barry M-Matt White.
Glow In The Dark toppers/colours: Violet Rose Polishes-Es Paradis and Amnesia, Dark Metal Lacquer-Beings Of Light and BK Polishes-#5, #6 and #10.

I used vinyls from She Sells Seashells for the pumpkins/bats and freehanded the rest!

I kinda love my little ghostie's reflection ^_^
So there we go! Hope you all had a good Halloween and didn't get too many tricks ;)

Happy Birthday Polish Party!

At the end of September the Polish Party group turned 1 and so the theme for the month's nail art challenge was party/celebrations related. I actually did these at the right time but have been a very lazy blogger and haven't actually got them up until today!
I chose to go with the true British party decorations-bunting! I used Barry M-Elderberry as my base and then drew the bunting using my black Barry M nail art pen. The pennants were done using Cirque-Baptista my POTW for that week), Avon-Midnight Green and Rimmel-Red Carpet.

Not the neatest nail art I've ever done but you get the idea I'm sure! They were sparkly and fun anyway.

Make sure you check out all the other birthday nails in the inlinkz too, there's some fab ones!

Polish Party-Inspired by Kerruticles

Hello lovelies! It's the last week of the month again which means it's Polish Party time and this month the theme was 'Inspired by another Polish Party member'. I chose the lovely Claire from Kerruticles because I have been following her for almost as long as I have been blogging and she has some really fabulous nails. Claire is the Queen of clean, crisp lines in her striping tape manis and often comes up with some really elegant but deceptively simple manis. I had a quick scout through her blog for some inspiration and came up with these three manis: (33 Day Challenge taping, Holiday stripes, GOT Challenge Chevrons)

All photos from http://www.kerruticles.com and used with permission
I decided to incorporate elements from all of them into my nails for today, but wanted to stay away from the blues/purples because I've been doing a fair few blue manis lately! The colours I chose were: A England-Iseult, Barry M-Mango and Passion Fruit.

My lines are nowhere near as crisp and clean as Claire's (and my clean up is frankly atrocious!) but I like these nonetheless, they're really bright! Obviously as my nails are shorter I have fewer stripes than her as well, but I hope these are still a good homage to those fabulous manis!

Also, here's a picture of Iseult on its pretty little onesome-I am always surprised by how much I like this polish. I won it in a giveaway ages ago and thought I'd never wear it (what with it being a PINK and all =p) but that subtle silver shimmer running through it lifts it into something really lovely!

That's me for today then, don't forget to check out the other PP lovelies in the inlinkz!

Polish Party-Spring/31WNAC-Yellow

Hello lovelies! I'm feeling a bit like a zombie today, my head just won't wake up. And I had planned to be so productive and everything =(

Anyway, today I have a double challenge mani, woo! I've got the March Polish Party prompt of Spring along with my own 31Week Nail Art Challenge one of yellow so I went for some lovely springy daffodils.

Polishes used: Sinful Colors-Mint Apple, Barry M-Lemon Icecream, Matt White, Revlon-Electric, Sally Hansen-Man-go Team! and Rimmel-Tangy Tangerine. My boyfriend did my off hand for these again, he's really getting into playing with dotting tools and stuff, it's quite fun!

I don't really know what else to say about these (zombie brain, haha!) but they did cheer me up a lot because they are so bright and cheerful.

Hope you're having a good Sunday!

Polish Party-Chevrons

Hello lovelies!
One of the new groups I am taking part in challenges with is called Polish Party and they choose a theme each month and post nail art on that theme in the last week. This month's theme is chevrons.

I started with a base of Barry M-Matt White, and then added the chevron guide stickers (from this set, although I cut them in half). I painted the very gorgeous Chubby Owl Polish-Midnight Owls on one half of the sticker and Barry M-Majesty on the other, then removed the sticker.

I really like the way this has turned out, I love the colours together, especially Midnight Owls which is just all kinds of beautiful! I don't do chevron nail art very often but I think I should cos it's really effective!

Check out what the other Polish Party lovelies have done for their chevron posts too, and I'll  be back soon =)
